Let’s take a look at the procedure in this short demonstration: For creating such animations, you can use Adobe Edge Animate and publish an OAM file, which can further be embedded in the InDesign document. When you are creating an eBook for iPad, you have to make sure the animations are in HTML5 format. Here’s a short demonstration on how to do so: So, get going with adding static images, text, and placeholders for animations, interactions, simulations, and videos. It’s always beneficial to finish the simple tasks first and then tackling the complex ones. Step 2: Adding static content and placeholders Let’s look at this short demonstration on how to set up your InDesign file: You need to add the tentative number of pages in your eBook and create Master layouts with common imagery for the eBook. The first step to create an eBook is to create the artwork that you will be using for background design, animations, interactions, etc. I’ve divided this guide in six steps to make it convenient for you to jump to the step you want to learn about. I have used it before to successfully create iBooks Author widgets and even full websites. I sincerely think that Hype is better made and more flexible. I would rather not having to resort to Adobe’s software. However I feel this is not an optimal solution.

Edge Animate recognizes the html code (with all the animations and assets) and is able to export to a fully functional OAM with transparency. I have temporarily solved the issue exporting to an html folder from Hype and opening the html file with Edge Animate CC. When converted again into OAM and then imported into Muse, It generated an importing error. zip, decompress it and then edit the html code, adding the right style attribute. I have even tried to manually change the file extension to. I have also tried to directly edit the head code and insert the style attribute to set the background color to transparent but it does not work.

When I insert it however, the background is still showing. In order to achieve my desired result, I have checked the box “Make background transparent” in the Document Settings.Īfter that, I export to OAM Widget and go to Muse to place the file inside the page. The animation has to be played inside a website made with Adobe Muse. I need an interactive animation made with Hype Pro to be transparent on a web-page. Dear Users and Hype Support, I have encountered this issue with OAM widgets.
